The outstanding features of robbe Li-Po cells are their high maximum current load and excellent voltage curve. Only selected cells are made up into battery packs. Spacers are fitted between each pair of cells in order to provide air circulation; this helps to avoid the development of differential states of charge due to heat build-up.
In addition to connecting leads for charging and discharging the batteries, all packs are fitted with a Voltage Sensor socket, at which all the individual cell voltages of the pack are present. During the charge process the robbe Equalizer or Lipomat 5-4000 is connected to this Voltage Sensor socket.
